Description
We are currently looking to bring in a seasoned woodworker/furniture maker looking for some winter Costa Rican sunshine.
We are looking for a hard working, self-starter with experience in working with wood. The Ranch team has a plethora of skills but with our limited time we are currently unable to do it all. We have a lot of furniture to bust out.
The furniture designs are complete, and we’re looking for someone experienced in working from plans and drawings, with the skills to process rough-cut timber—using sleds and saws to flatten and square it—before crafting the pieces with simple mortise and tenon joinery.
Qualifications
Relevant woodworking/furniture making experience
Ability to interpret drawings/plans
Experience working from rough cut timber through to finish furniture
Interest in the culture and mission of Rancho Mastatal
Ability to abide by all Rancho Mastatal policies
Ability to commit to agreed upon time frame
Optional but helpful qualifications
Spanish language abilities
Timeframe
February 1-22, 2026.
What you Give
30 hours working in our well-equipped outdoor woodshop making furniture.
